Privacy Policy.

How we collect, use, and protect your information. Short version: we don’t sell anything, we don’t track you across the web, and we only collect what we need to do the job.

Last updated: May 26, 2026

Who we are.

Wasatch Web LLC (“Wasatch Web,” “we,” “us”) is a web design, app development, and AI automation company based in Riverton, Utah. This policy covers https://wasatchweb.net and the client portal at https://wasatchweb.net/portal/.

What we collect.

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our business:

From contact forms and inquiries: your name, email, phone (if provided), business name, and the project details you choose to share. Submitted from /contact/, the homepage CTAs, and the Business Website Plan page.

From client portal accounts: name, email, phone, company, and a hashed password. If you save a payment method, Stripe stores the card data on their PCI-compliant infrastructure and we store only a reference token, never the full card number.

From basic server logs: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. Standard web server logs, retained for a short window and used for security and uptime.

From cookies: a small session cookie for the client portal so you stay signed in, and a CSRF token cookie on contact forms to prevent abuse. We also load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our public marketing pages, which sets cookies for ad measurement and audiences. See the “Cookies and tracking” section below for details and how to opt out.

How we use it.

To respond to your inquiry, give you a quote, deliver the project you hired us for, run the client portal, process payments through Stripe, send service-related email (invoices, receipts, project updates), and keep the site secure. That’s the whole list.

We do not sell, rent, or share your information with marketers, data brokers, or anyone else for advertising purposes. Full stop.

Who we share it with.

We share only the data needed to run a small handful of services:

Stripe processes payments for the client portal. They receive payment details directly, not us. See stripe.com/privacy.

SendGrid (via our mail relay) delivers transactional email like quote replies, invoice notifications, and project updates. They process recipient email addresses and message content for delivery.

Our web host stores server logs and the contents of submissions in our own database. The hosting provider has standard access to maintain the servers but does not use your data for anything else.

Meta (Facebook / Instagram) receives page-view data from the Meta Pixel we load on public marketing pages, used for ad measurement and audience building. See “Cookies and tracking” below for details and how to opt out.

If we ever need to share data because of a legal requirement (a subpoena, for example), we’ll do so only when legally required and only to the extent required.

Cookies and tracking.

We use the minimum cookies needed to run the site, plus one advertising pixel:

Session cookie for the client portal, so you can stay signed in. Cleared when you log out or close your browser.

CSRF token cookie on contact forms, to prevent cross-site request forgery. Used once per submission.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel on our public marketing pages, used for advertising measurement and to build audiences for Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns. The pixel records a PageView event when you visit a page on this site and sets cookies that Meta uses to associate that visit with your Meta account if you have one. The pixel is not loaded inside the client portal at /portal/. You can opt out at facebook.com/settings?tab=ads (Meta ad preferences) or by using your browser’s built-in tracking-protection setting.

We do not use Google Analytics or other third-party analytics on the public site beyond the Meta Pixel above. If we add any, we’ll update this policy first.

Your rights.

You can request a copy of any data we have about you, ask us to update it, or ask us to delete it. Email contact@wasatchweb.net with the request and we’ll respond within a few business days.

If you have a client portal account, you can update your name, email, company, and password yourself from the account page once signed in. To close your account entirely, just email us.

Note: invoices and project records may be retained for tax and accounting compliance even after an account is closed. We keep them only as long as required and then delete.

Children’s privacy.

We do not target our services at children under 13 and do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, email contact@wasatchweb.net and we’ll delete it.

Security.

We use HTTPS across the entire site, hash passwords with industry-standard algorithms, never store full credit card numbers, and apply security updates regularly. No internet system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

Changes to this policy.

We may update this policy as our practices change or laws evolve. The “Last updated” date at the top will always show when it was last changed. Significant changes will be noted on the homepage or in client emails when relevant.
